Have you really thought about the power you have to
either inspire or uplift yourself and others simply by the words you
use? Do you realize that words are the simplest yet most powerful tools that
can be used to change any situation in an instant?
As we find ourselves amidst natural/human
disasters, conflicts between nations, mass revolution in Arab countries, hunger
and starvation in Africa, wars, child related crimes, drug abuse/trafficking,
global economic and social crisis, it has become very clear that we are living
in a sick world that desperately needs healing words.
Imagine how pleasant and different the world would be
if those of us who claim to be passionate about God and His word do kind,
helpful and beneficial deeds such as using inspirational words of wisdom to encourage someone everyday.
Certainly, the results will be astonishing and the world will indeed become a
better place because we can actually overcome despair with hope, fear with
faith and evil with good if we make a commitment to inspire one another with ‘positive
and loving words’ as against ‘negative and hateful words’.
I strongly believe that meaningful acts like these are
very pleasing to God and far better than just complaining about the wrong
things of this World. We can all be part of the solution to the devastating
problems plaguing many nations by becoming significant partakers in an “inspirational revolution” of making a conscious effort to speak positive words because these spoken words ultimately become the reality of who we are. All we need to
do is to consciously and constantly use kind words of inspiration to either encourage or
challenge others to be and do good.
And while we are at it, let’s not forget to practice
what we preach because we must first and foremost become the change we desire
to see in the world. So let your words heal, and not wound!
